END OF SEASON

The end of the season is fast approaching.  Please remember that the AGM and Presentation Dinner will be on 28 June.  It’s never too early to say you’re coming and to pay online, referencing your name and “Presentation” with the payment.  Further reminders will be sent between now and then.
The last official day of dinghy racing and learn-to-sail is 30 March but the club is planning to run a fun day on Sunday 06 April.  First thing to note is that is the first day of the clock change to AEST.  The plan is this:
  • A short sailing race for the LTS children
  • A slightly less short race for the LTS adults
  • A marathon race for the dinghies, using the permanent yacht markers
  • A sausage sizzle
Timing: (AEST!!!)
  • Could all LTS people be there by 0900 to be ready for a race/event at 1000
  • 1130 decision on dinghy race course
  • 1200 brief for dinghies
  • from 1300 handicap start for dinghies from in front of the clubhouse
  • 1500 sausage sizzle
All club members are welcome to come and try their hand in the dinghy race, even if you are not a regular racer, or to drop by and watch the events and stay for the BBQ.

REGATTAS

A big thank you to all of the volunteers that made the ILCA (Laser) Masters State Titles such a success last weekend.  It was great to see 103 boats and sailors out on the water, getting 6 races completed and enjoying our hospitality.

Time to ramp up again for next weekend as we host our own Club Regatta which could easily see another 100 sailors at the club.  An email will be sent to members soon confirming roster details.  The weather looks promising so come on down and enjoy the spectacle!

Now an early warning that our Presentation Night and AGM will be on Saturday 28 June with details to be confirmed.  Put it in the diary now…
