Peter Jacobson

Alfie, Peter Jacobson
5.9.1931 – 10.9.2021

The committee would like to advise members that Peter Jacobson passed away this week. Alfie, as Peter was universally known, was one of the clubs founding members and was instrumental in building the original SLMASC clubhouse. Alfie and his family have continued to be involved with the club ever since and could be seen on the verandah holding court on most sailing days. The members thoughts are with his wife Marlene (another club stalwart) and family, who have all sailed and volunteered at SLMASC over the years

We will finish with one of Alfies famous quotes

“Men are all created equal but at the windward mark some are more equal than others”

A decision to open the Clubhouse and start our Sailing Program will be made once the Government lifts the current lockdown.
