Karl Schnieder and InterCLUB Results 2014-15

With 8 boats contesting Race#4 of the Karl Schnieder Series and 4 boats with a chance of taking out the title, it came down to who could make the best of the conditions on a shifty day. Congratulations go to:-

1st. YKNOT (8 points)

2nd. InternSHIP (10 points)

3rd. WINGS and BUNDY ON (equal on 12 points)

————————————-

Coming into the last race of the InterCLUB series with a 4 point deficit wasn’t to much to peg back? Wrong

It was. (4 points became 40 very quickly)

Congratulations to Mannering Park ASC on taking out the 2014-15 InterCLUB.

Boat of the series winner FREY (MPASC)

THERE’S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR

Yacht Interclub Race 4 this SATURDAY at MPASC … Will Your boat bring the trophy home for Team SLMASC?

Just a quick reminder that Race 4 of the SLMASC/MPASC Interclub Yacht Series is to be held at MPASC this coming SATURDAY 7th March 2015.

As for previous Interclub Yacht races this season, the start on Saturday will be in two separate divisions (see website for your assigned starting Division). Please check all details in your MPASC Sailing Instructions (Note: MPASC SI’s and Courses used for this race!!). Note that the start clock on the club will count down from 60 minutes commencing at approximately 1.15pm, with Division 2 Starting at the drop of 10 and Division 1 at the drop of 0 on the clock, with the course number to be indicated by the board ashore. If your yacht does not appear on the Division listing on the website and you intend to race, please contact racing@slmasc.org ASAP, but don’t leave it until Saturday morning …. at the very latest please follow-up at the club this Friday afternoon before/after the twilight race. Both divisions will have scratch starts and spinnakers can be used in both divisions, with overall results being based on combined TCF results.

With SLMASC taking just a 4 point series lead into the final race (the narrowest margin ever), every boat and every position in the race right down to last place will be vital in determiniing the outcome of the series. We need all SLMASC yacht crews to rally their fellow crew members, prep their boat, and join Team SLMASC as we race to bring the trophy back home to Sunshine.

It would be great to see Team SLMASC turn out with all boats flying the club burgee (may help protect our team members from ‘friendly fire’ incidents ;-), so if you need a new burgee you can grab one from the club on Friday evening. As usual boats can anchor or raft up after the race with MPASC providing a shuttle boat to/from the shore to enable all sailors to meet at the club after the race for a drink and the presentation of the race 4 results and the Boat of the Series and Interclub trophies.

It’s guaranteed to be another great interclub battle so don’t let a lack of crew stop your boat joining the winning team!! If any boat needs crew or if you are available to crew on another boat this Saturday, please let the club know ASAP on racing@slmasc.org or text 0438 724599 and we will match boats with crews where needed/possible.

We look forward to seeing you play a vital and perhaps winning role for Team SLMASC this Saturday. Remember, every place/position counts …. so race hard to the end and have fun.

Smooth (and FAST) Sailing …….
