Important Note re Yacht Interclub this SUNDAY at SLMASC …

Just a reminder that with the revision of the weekend Yacht racing program for the remainder of this season that there is an additional Interclub Yacht race scheduled and it will be held at SLMASC this coming SUNDAY 19th January ….. (apologies for the typo in last weeks email/post which indicated that it was on Saturday at MPASC).

As for previous Interclub races, starting will be in two separate divisions with the Division listing of boats to be updated on the Interclub Event page of the website tomorrow (Friday). Div 2 warning signal will be at 1330 and Div 1 warning signal will be at 1345.

Make sure that you have your SLMASC sailing instructions along with the amendment issued on 16th November 2013 which provides the revised Appendix B outlining the interclub courses to be sailed. This Sundays Interclub race will use the GENERAL interclub courses in the revised Appendix B (not the Marathon courses) and the starting proceedures will be as outlined for Interclub Series Water based Scratch Starts in the sailing instructions. If your yacht does not appear on the Division listing when it is updated on Friday, please text or call 0438 724599 ASAP so that we can confirm your starting division and TCF handicap (please don’t leave it until Sunday morning though). Both divisions will have scratch starts, will sail the same course, and can use spinnakers, with overall results being based on combined TCF results, so don’t be too concerned which division you have been allocated to sail in.

After a warm week it looks like we may have a cooling Southerly with a steady breeze on Sunday, and we hope to see as many SLMASC boats as possible out racing as part of the winning team 😉

Smooth Sailing

Team SLMASC
