Oracle wins race 12 and lives to fight another day

Oracle Team USA has taken out race 12 of the Americas Cup final this morning to rack up their 4th win of the series, however due to the jury penalty imposed before the series their points total stands at 2 compared to Emirates Team New Zealands 8 in the best of 9 series.

Race 13 has just been postponed for the day due to the wind exceeding the prescribed limit which is significantly reduced due to a strong tidal current, and this has been the pattern of the last few days.

With no further lay days in the AC finals schedule, it will now be a day by day shoot out until the winner emerges, and with Oracles performance seeming to improve each day there’s sure to be more great racing to come. Team NZ, with SLMASC’s Adam Beashel aboard, need just 1 more win to secure the 34th Americas Cup, with Oracle now needing to win all remaining races to secure an unlikely victory.

Remember that you can send Adam and Team NZ your message of support by emailing them directly at:   adam.beashel@slmasc.org

Make sure you catch the awesome sailing action in tomorrow’s racing (6am on Foxtel and You Tube) as Adam and Team NZ fight to make Americas Cup sailing history.

Smooth Saiiling
