The SLMASC Annual General Meeting is to be held at the club this Sunday, 2nd August 2015, at 2.00pm. All members are strongly encouraged to come along and participate in the planning and preparation for the coming season, and this is also an ideal opportunity for you to put forward your ideas to help take the club forward.
In accordance with the club constitution, all Executive, Committee and Club Official positions will be vacated and open for election, and there are numerous roles that we will be looking for volunteers to fill. If you believe that you have something to offer and want to get involved and assist in the running of your club, then please come along and offer to help out in some capacity.
We have another busy yacht and dinghy sailing program planned for the coming season and will need the ongoing support of members for these programs to be able to be conducted successfully. We will also be calling on members to assist with the hosting of several major regatta’s during the season, especially the A-Class Catamaran Nationals (2-9 Jan 2016) and the Opti States (19-20 March 2016). These events are crucial fundraisers that help balance the budget while also enabling the club to continue to improve facilities and programs while maintaining costs as low as possible.
